5 Takeaways from the 2025 Goodera Volunteering Summit

The Deed team really enjoyed our time at the 2025 Goodera Volunteering Summit in San Jose, California. In addition to connecting face-to-face with the amazing impact leaders from a number of our partners, including Ford, TD Synnex, and ServiceNow, we also had the opportunity to meet with leaders across the impact space and participate in to (and lead!) a number of timely discussions related to the wins and challenges that companies, leaders, and employees are facing related to doing good.

Key points made at the summit include:

➡️ Employee engagement remains a challenge. Key to overcoming this challenge is communication that meets employees where they are at (hint: not only the company’s intranet!), tailored volunteer and donation opportunities for a variety of employee skill and interest areas, and

➡️ Integrations between your workplace giving platform and other platforms/tools are critical to streamline admin efforts and reduce time needed to manage impact programs.
  • 💡Did you know that Deed has an integration with Goodera? We also seamlessly integrate with a number of other platforms and tools, including Slack, Microsoft Teams, Workday, and ADP. Learn more about Deed’s integrations here.
➡️ Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) remain an important part of any corporate impact strategy and are a key way to drive and support global employee engagement in impact efforts.
  • 💡Did you know that Deed's Communities feature enables employees and admins to manage ERGs from within the Deed platform? No additional logins needed! Learn more about Communities here.
➡️ Impact admins want to measure and report on the impact of their company and employee efforts. This requires thinking about data collection and storytelling in new ways, above and beyond the traditional approach of capturing dollars and hours.

  • 💡Did you know that Deed has an integration with True Impact, the leading impact measurement tool? With this integration, you can capture, review, and report on the impact of your good deeds, right from the Deed platform! Learn more about our integration with True Impact.
➡️ Disaster relief efforts cannot stop when the disaster stops making headlines. Ongoing support - through both donations and volunteering - is critical to help people and communities rebuild after a disaster.

We loved hearing feedback from our partners about how Deed’s platform helps them address and overcome common pain points in the corporate impact space, and we were thrilled to hear them singing our praises! If you are looking to increase employee engagement in impact efforts, better support your employees and community(ies), or evolve your impact program with Deed’s easy-to-use platform, reach out to our team - we would love to show you how we can help!
